SAFE integrates the entire engineering design process from framing layouts to detail drawing production in one intuitive environment. SAFE is a unique combination of power and comprehensive capabilities that provides unparalleled productivity for engineers.

Over 45 years have passed since CSI solvers were first introduced to the market. The SAPFire Analysis Engine can support multiple 64-bit solvers for analysis optimization and can perform both eigen analysis and Ritz analysis. To make use of multiple processors, there are parallelization options.

SAFE offers a single user interface to perform modeling, analysis, design and reporting. You can access object properties and forms quickly with the new model explorer.

SAFE can be used to model foundations, basemats, or footings. You can easily model soil supports with zero tension soil models using uplift analysis. Subgrade modulus is used to assign soil supports. They automatically adjust for mesh changes. Basemat foundation models include foundation areas as well pedestals, walls columns beams beams and piles.

Design strips are used to define how reinforcement requirements are to be calculated. SAFE will automatically create the strips for your use, or you can manually define them.

CSI SAFE v20.3.0.2005 System requirements

  • Processor Minimum: Intel Pentium 4 or AMD Athlon 64 Recommended: Intel i5/i7, AMD Athlon X4/Ryzen, or better A 64-bit CPU is required The SAPFire(r) Analytical Engine includes multi-threaded solvers and algorithms that can take advantage of multi-core CPUs. The design algorithms can take advantage of multiple cores.
  • Operating System Microsoft(r) Windows 8.1, 10, or 11 64-bit processor
  • Video Card Minimum: Supports 1024×768 resolution, 16 bits colors for standard graphics mode (GDI+). Recommended for: Discrete video cards with NVIDIA GPU (or equivalent) and dedicated graphics RAM (1512 Mb or more) for DirectX graphic mode. DirectX 11 compatible cards are required.
  • Minimum RAM: 8GB RAM. The size of the problem and the speed for resolution & recovery are greatly increased with more RAM.
  • Disk Space 6GB required to install the software. External and network drives not recommended.
